Persona 1 - photo under plexiglas stuck onaluminium, 70cm x 50cm - Persona 2 - Lili 's face resin mask, resin - human size
- 2007
The origin of the word persona is probably derived
from Etruscan and designated masks worn by actors in the theater.
These masks gave the appearance, each embodied "character" (the
film Persona I. Bergman, refers.) In making this mask, which comes
from a photo where I closed my eyes and painted on my eyelids (as
Jean Cocteau in Le Testament d'Orphee), I imagine an inner journey,
the work of deep concentration protected by a mask, an appearance,
a second face. I'm not there ... I'm here ... as a person.
